About the gift depository

Hi, welcome to the Gift Depository. You want to know what this site is about. That's why you are on the about page. Well, this site was built by me, Daniel Bowden

I am a web programmer by day. Golfer and chess addict by, well, the rest of the time.

I setup the Gift Depository so that I could play around with some software called Umbraco.  I am interested in E-Commerce solutions and wanted to see how difficult it would be to set up an online shop. This is the result.

The Gift Depository is an Amazon Associate site. It makes use of the Amazon Product Advertising API. It started out effectively as a glorified wish list but I've started adding more and more categories.

The site is currently under construction again. I upgraded to Umbraco 4.5.2 and thought I might as well make it look prettier too. I'll be adding the "Gift Ideas" back in soon.
